The purpose of this event is to provide a happier holiday season to less fortunate children and to have children interact with law enforcment officers in a positive setting. Thanks to sponsors and donations from the community, each child is allowed to purchase $100 worth of merchandise fron Wal-mart with a law enforcement partner. Needt children are identified by schools, churches and social service agencies. The goal is to accommodate 20 children, which means $2000 has to be raised each year.

Race Information
- Events will be staged from Ritter Farms - 3 miles North of Rutledge (Mapquest directions)
- Start time for Half Marathon - 8:00 am - Marathon - 8:00 am -
- T-shirts and goody bags for all pre-registered racers
- Aid stations @ these distances: 1, 4.4, 6.2, 8, 10.5, 13.1 - (Full Marathon is 2 loops so add 13.1 to listed distances for second loop aid stations)
- Aid stations stocked with PowerBar products, bananas, oranges, PowerGel, and vaseline
- Number pick up and registration at Ritter Farms November 12 - 3 pm to 5 pm Friday
- Race day registration available starting at 6 am!
- Parking, Start/Finish line at Ritter Farms

- March 31 - July 22 - Online Early Registration - Full - $50, Half $40, 5 K $20
- July 23 - October 15 - Online Regular Registration - Full - $60, Half $50, 5 K $20
- October 15 - November 9 - Online Late Registration - Full - $70, Half $60, 5 K $25
- November 12 - No T-shirts - Online Day of Registration - Full - $80, Half $70, 5 K $30
Shop with A Cop
The primary purpose of the "Shop With A Cop" program is to provide disadvantaged children with $100.00 worth of holiday gifts and to have them interact with law enforcement officers in a positive setting. This year's event is being hosted by Grainger County Fraternal Order of Police and SCO promotions.
